Our experienced dental assistants will clean and dry the teeth, apply a special gel to roughen the surface, and then brush on the sealant material. A curing light is used to bond the sealant to the tooth, creating a protective barrier. Once applied, sealants can last for several years, providing long-term cavity protection.
Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that strengthens tooth enamel, making it more resistant to decay. We offer fluoride treatments to provide an extra layer of protection for your child’s teeth.
During a fluoride treatment, a highly concentrated fluoride gel or varnish is applied to your child’s teeth. The fluoride quickly adheres to the tooth surface and gets absorbed, strengthening the enamel. The treatment is painless and takes only a few minutes.
A small amount of fluoride gel is dispensed in a tray. The fluoride trays are then gently placed over the teeth. The fluoride gel is a highly concentrated form of fluoride that helps strengthen the tooth enamel. The trays are left in place for the recommended duration. After the designated time, the trays are removed from the mouth and the patient is asked to rinse their mouth thoroughly to remove any excess fluoride gel. It’s important to not eat or drink anything for at least 30 min following the treatment to allow the fluoride to fully penetrate the tooth surfaces.
